How Fast is an EQS?
The 2022 EQS from Mercedes-Benz EQ isn’t just efficient. In addition to its forward-thinking design and its remarkably luxurious interior, this model offers a performance that will never leave you wanting more when you’re out in Los Angeles or Pasadena. At its best, the EQS speeds from 0 to 60 in just 4.1 seconds, and regardless of which trim level you choose, the EQS can reach a top speed of 130 miles per hour.
EQS 0–60 Times by Trim Level
Although the EQS speed is electronically limited to a maximum of 130 miles per hour, this model has more than enough strength for rapid acceleration and exhilarating daily drives. Explore the EQS 0–60 times by comparing power output across the lineup:
EQS 450+ Performance
- 0–60 mph in 5.9 seconds
- 329 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque
- Permanently Excited Synchronous (PSM) Motor
- Rear-wheel drive
- Single-speed automatic transmission
EQS 580 4MATIC® Performance
- 0–60 mph in 4.1 seconds
- 516 horsepower and 611 lb-ft of torque
- Dual Permanently Excited Synchronous (PSM) Motors
- 4MATIC® All-Wheel Drive
- Single-speed automatic transmission
Although both models are paired with a single-speed automatic transmission in order to maximize efficiency, they feature different engines and drivetrains. The EQS 450+ comes equipped with a single Permanently Excited Synchronous (PSM) Motor and rear-wheel drive, while the EQS 580 4MATIC® features a dual-motor setup and 4MATIC® AWD.
With this much power and control, the EQS has no trouble going head-to-head with rivals like the Tesla Model S.
